The house is fully serviced----you can
do as little or as much as you want during your holiday. Breakfast dishes
can be left on the table, taken to the kitchen or if you are having
withdrawal symptoms put in the dishwasher!
Bedrooms and bathrooms will be cleaned daily. Sheets will be changed
weekly.
If you would like clean bath towels, please leave the dirty ones in
the bath. Towels can be dried on the whirly gig (front garden) along
with swimwear and beach towels. Beach towels can be reserved in advance
to save on luggage allowance.
We love the light and airy feel of the house and live with the windows
open, this can make the house quite dusty and at times full of pine
needles. If we miss dusting any surface please let us know!
Hairdryers are provided in all bedrooms.
Children (even good swimmers) need to be supervised at all times by a responsible
adult. NB the pool is not fenced off.Click here to view tariff information.
The BBQ can be booked by arrangement if you fancy a night eating in. Charcoal and food supplies can be easily purchased at the local supermarket.
The water in Calella is very hard. A water softener has been installed at Casa Dos Torres to rectify this problem. A water filter has also been fitted in the kitchen (the small tap on the sink) which provides drinking water and makes better tea and coffee. The water in Calella is safe for drinking etc but has a metallic taste, hence the filtering. All our water is metered so please do not leave taps running unnecessarily.
Washing can be done for 5 euros per load (see Jane or John) Guests have free use of the iron and ironing board!
We think Calella is built on a giant anthill - wherever you go you will see ants. We live in harmony with them provided they stay outside the house. If you see any ants in the house or an ant trail on the walls please let us know. A barrier of ant powder is kept around the perimeter of the house and up to now this has been very effective. As another precaution please do not keep any food in the bedrooms.
Anti mosquito 'plug ins' are available for most rooms. A 'Raid Spray' is kept in the upstairs hall. Spiders are our friends as they eat flies etc. If they bother you please see John or Jane.
There is an assortment of games in the big chest in the upstairs hall. Feel free to have 'fun'. We try and have regular, organized water sports in the pool.
Subject to demand we have evening excursions to local tapas bars etc.
We have a dog Chelsea, a whippet, who sleeps 23 hours a day. She is always pleased to see you before returning to her bed for another nap.
Beach mats and beach umbrellas are also available for guests’ use.
A shoe basket is kept under the stairs and any shoes left laying about will be put there at the end of the day.
Sunglasses and other items will be put on the chest in the downstairs hall.
Please do ask if you need emergency supplies of toothpaste, shampoo or any forgotten items!
