Dates: Saturday April 20th-Saturday April 27th, Saturday 27th-Saturday May 4th, Saturday May 4th-Saturday May 11th. This would consist of three separate visits over a week. Not everybody would necessarily be able to arrive on a Saturday but the visits would roll round so the were not repeated less than once a week, so a stay from a Monday to a Monday for example, would be quite acceptable also. The price of this package of 7 nights is 400 euros per person and would  include all transport costs, Girona airport pick up, entrance fees to the places of interest and 4 evening meals.

The first of these dates overlaps with the annual laser competition here in Calella from the 18th to the 21st April. Well over 100 competitors turn up each year and it is quite a sight to see so many small craft out in the sea off Llafranc and Calella.

GIRONA  FLOWER  FESTIVAL. (11th-19th of May 2013) The Girona Flower Festival runs this year from Saturday May 11th through to Sunday the 19th. Obviously it is better to see it at the beginning when the flowers are fresher but each display is meant to last for the full 8 days. Similar to previous years we have a 5 night or 7 night package. For a 5 night break during this period of 9th to 19th of May we offer transfers to and from Girona airport, dinner with wine on two of the evenings and transport to and from Girona town to see the flowers. The total price of this is 265 euros per person plus taxes. This represents a saving of 150 euros on our normal charges. For a 7 night break the price would be 370 euros per person and would include dinner on 3 of the evenings.

SPANISH  FORMULA  ONE  GRAND  PRIX  BARCELONA Weekend of 11th & 12th May. Coinciding with the start of the Girona Flower Festival offer I also propose to visit The Spanish Formula One Grand Prix at Barcelona. I have never been but it is less than one hour down the road and I keep promising myself a visit. The General Admission price is 120 euros for the three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A one day ticket to see the qualifying on the Saturday would be between 90 euros and 115 euros, but this would be seated. The face value of the ticket would be added to the 5 or 7 nights package price. There would be no additional fee for transport.

GUIDED  CATALUÑA  NATURE  TRAILS: Wednesday 15th of May-Saturday June 1st.

Coinciding with the end of the Girona Flower Festival and running for the last two weeks of May, Jane and John are conducting local nature trails either on foot or by bicycle. There will be at least three per week and can be a combination of either walking or cycling if so preferred. May is a great time to see the local countryside with a beautiful array of wild flowers in the fields and hedgerows. Suggested trails are by foot down to Palamos via Castell beach, Cami de Ronda from Llafrance to Tamariu, forest walk up to Fitorwhich is that part of the Gavares above Palafrugell or the Costal path around Begur. Because it is fairly flat, cycling is an easy option and of course you can cover a lot more in a day out.

The price for these guided trails is 275 euros per person including dinner on three nights of a 5 day stay or 395 euros per person including dinner on four nights for a 7 day break. Transport to and from Girona airport and bike hire is included.

Please note taxes will have to be added to the above rates. Taxes currently are: 10% IVA (VAT).

If there was anybody wanting a pick up from Barcelona airport then an additional 50 euros would apply.
